Partner with Lermond Engineering Limited for professional foundation, geotechnical, civil, and construction solutions backed by over three decades of industry experience, proven expertise, and an unwavering commitment to quality and safety.

Lermond Engineering Limited was engaged to undertake the foundation, pile cap, and excavation and lateral support (ELS) works for the proposed Youth Hostel Development at 122A–130 Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan for the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. The project involved the construction of major foundation and substructure works within one of Hong Kong's most densely developed urban environments.
The works comprised the construction of five 2.5-metre diameter bored piles founded on Grade III rock, followed by excavation and lateral support works, pile cap construction, and associated substructure works. The project demanded a high level of technical expertise, planning, and coordination to ensure safe and efficient construction within a highly constrained city-centre site.
Located immediately adjacent to the Grade I Historic Man Mo Temple, the project required comprehensive monitoring, vibration control measures, and careful construction sequencing to protect nearby heritage structures and surrounding developments. Continuous liaison was maintained with relevant stakeholders throughout the project to ensure that all works were carried out responsibly and in accordance with project requirements.
The site's location along the busy Hollywood Road corridor also presented significant logistical and traffic management challenges. Through meticulous planning, stakeholder engagement, and strict quality and safety management, Lermond successfully delivered the foundation and substructure works while minimising disruption to the surrounding community.
