Lermond Engineering Limited was engaged to undertake the piling works for the Improvement Works at Tai O, Phase 2, Stage 2. The project forms part of the Government's ongoing efforts to enhance public infrastructure and improve accessibility within the Tai O community through the construction of new pedestrian facilities.
The works comprised the construction of 68 nos. 610mm diameter pre-bored socketed H-piles supporting the Yim Tin Footbridge and Po Chue Tam Footbridge. The scope included pile installation, testing, and associated foundation works carried out in accordance with the project specifications and stringent quality requirements.
Working within an existing village environment required careful planning, coordination, and construction management to ensure safe execution while minimizing disruption to the surrounding community. Through effective project delivery and technical expertise, Lermond successfully completed the foundation works, contributing to the enhancement of community connectivity and public infrastructure in Tai O.
