Lermond Engineering Limited was engaged to undertake the construction of pre-bored socketed steel H-piles for the flyover connecting the Kwai Tsing Interchange Up-ramp to Kwai Chung Road.
The project formed part of a major transportation infrastructure enhancement programme designed to improve traffic connectivity and capacity within one of Hong Kong's busiest logistics and transportation corridors. The works comprised the construction of 230 nos. 610mm diameter pre-bored socketed steel H-piles supporting multiple infrastructure elements, including bridges, lift towers, staircases, abutments, and associated noise barriers.
The scope also included rock socket formation, grouting works, pile testing, and associated foundation activities. Through effective project management, technical expertise, and rigorous quality control, Lermond successfully delivered this large-scale specialist foundation project.
