Lermond Engineering Limited was engaged to undertake the piling and foundation works for the residential development at N.K.I.L. No. 6493, Inverness Road, Kowloon Tong. Located within one of Kowloon's established low-density residential districts, the project involved extensive geotechnical, foundation, and site formation works to support the proposed luxury residential development.
The scope of works included demolition and removal of existing structures and underground obstructions, excavation and disposal works, excavation and lateral support (ELS) systems, site formation works, and foundation construction. Comprehensive temporary works and shoring systems were designed and implemented to facilitate deep excavation and basement construction while maintaining the safety and stability of the surrounding environment.
Particular attention was required for the protection and stabilization of adjacent structures and existing site features, including works associated with the adjoining Munsang College site. The project also incorporated tree protection and preservation measures in accordance with statutory and environmental requirements.
Foundation works included the construction of rock-socketed H-piles, footings, pile caps, tie beams, mass concrete fill, and associated substructure elements. Through careful planning, technical expertise, and stringent quality control, Lermond successfully delivered the site formation and foundation works, providing a secure platform for the residential development.
