Lermond Engineering Limited was engaged to undertake the site formation, slope stabilization, and foundation works for a proposed residential development at 12 Shiu Fai Terrace, Hong Kong. Situated on a challenging hillside site, the project required extensive geotechnical engineering, foundation construction, and retaining structure works to establish a safe and stable platform for the proposed development.
The scope included the design and construction of the foundation system, comprising piling works and associated pile caps, together with comprehensive site formation works. These included excavation, backfilling, disposal of excavated materials, demolition and removal of existing retaining walls, and the construction of bored pile walls, soldier pile walls, pipe pile walls, lagging walls, tie-back systems, and other excavation and lateral support works.
In addition, extensive slope stabilization works were carried out, including soil nails, reinforced concrete facing walls, hydroseeding works, and upgrading of existing slopes and retaining structures. Through careful planning, technical expertise, and strict adherence to statutory and engineering requirements, Lermond successfully delivered the project and provided a stable foundation for the residential development.
